Valeria received her Bachelor’s degree in “Physical Engineering” from Politecnico di Torino (Italy) in
2010 and her International Master’s joint degree in “Micro and Nanotechnology for Integrated Systems” from Politecnico di Torino, Institut Polytechnique de Grenoble and École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne in 2012.
From February to September 2012 she worked as Intern at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, focusing on the developement of a novel hybrid TiO2 resist material for UV NanoImprinting Lithography to realize computer-designed nanophotonics structures, and the fabrication of on chip integrated Nanospectrometers based on Digital Planar Holography (DPH).
In November 2012, under a contract by STMicroelectronics, she joined the team of “Microélectronique Silicium” as PhD student in “Micro et Nanotechnologies, Acoustique et Télécommunications”, at the Institut of Electronics, Microelectronics and Nanotechnology (IEMN), Université des Sciences et Technologies of Lille. Her research work mainly focuses on non conventional Si-Phononic Engineered thin film for the application to thermoelectric energy converters.
